REGISTRATION OPEN: May 1st – May 31st.

GRADES:  Grades 5th-8th  (Players' grade for the 2023-2024 school year)

TRYOUTS (6th-8th grade only): Tryouts are split into two days. All players wanting to be considered for an A Team, must tryout on the day listed below, and may be called back for a second day. No tryouts for 5th grade teams.

Tryout Schedule: Tues 5/30 - Thurs 6/1 (See tryout schedule for  each grade below)
 

REGISTRATION FEES: $315 ($350 late registration applies for all registration requests after May 31st. Late registrations will be placed on a waitlist and not guaranteed a spot on a team).

CYO Volleyball is community based with parent coaching and high school player assistant coaching. Our CYO season does not work without parent involvement. Coaching a CYO volleyball team is a fun and rewarding experience, plus an excellent opportunity to become involved with your daughter and her friends in a fun and competitive team sports environment.

Volleyball experience is helpful, but not required to be a coach. We provide coaches training and all the tools you need to be an effective and impactful CYO volleyball coach for our student athletes. Come join the fun!

Those interested in being a Head Coach or Asst. Coach for a CYO volleyball team can indicate during the registration. If you have questions on being a coach, or asst. coach, please email volleyballsthilary@gmail.com for more info.

2023 Volleyball Season Schedule

REGISTRATION: MAY 1ST - MAY 31ST

TRYOUTS: 5/30-6/1 (see schedule below)

Tryouts are for 6th-8th grades only and required for those wishing to make an A-Team. 

Tryouts (6th-8th grade only): Tryouts are split into two days. All players wanting to be considered for an A Team, must tryout on the day listed below, and may be called back for a second day.

6th Grade: Tues 5/30 OR Weds 5/31, 3:45 - 5:15pm

7th Grade: Tues 5/30 OR Weds 5/31, 5:30 - 7:00pm

8th Grade: Tues 5/30 OR Weds 5/31, 7:15 - 8:45pm

A Team Callbacks (If required. Players will be notified after their tryout day if a second callback day is requested for A Team placement):
6th Grade: Thursday 6/1, 3:45 - 5:00pm
7th Grade: Thursday 6/1, 5:15 - 6:30pm
8th Grade: Thursday 6/1, 6:45 - 8:00pm

*NO TRYOUTS FOR 5th Grade

Skills Required:

• Positive attitude, team player, and eager to learn and build volleyball skills with your friends.  
• All levels of experience are welcome and encouraged!  We have new players who have never played volleyball and experienced Club players honing their skills to compete at the next level.  
• All players have opportunities through our Summer Volleyball Clinics and throughout the season to expand their skills, confidence, and teamwork in a competitive, supportive, and FUN environment.  

Players must be registered and paid in full to tryout. 

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your tryout time to register and receive your tryout number.

Tryout Attire:

• Players should wear athletic attire, including knee pads (if they have them), athletic shoes, shorts or leggings, and a t-shirt. Please no crop tops or tank tops.
• Please arrive with your hair in a ponytail, and all jewelry must be removed before you are allowed to tryout.

Please DO NOT wear any volleyball club attire to ensure fair and impartial tryouts for all players! (e.g.: Absolute, Marin Jrs, Firebolts, etc.) St. Hilary attire or other school attire, including school shirts, shorts, and volleyball jerseys, are permitted. Players arriving in club gear will be asked to turn inside out or tape over any club logos - NO EXCEPTIONS!

SUMMER CLINICS: July - August (Schedule TBD)

PRACTICE STARTS:  Monday, August 21st

Practices are 90 minutes each scheduled 2x per week. Practice times will be assigned after tryouts and teams are formed. Time slots assigned to teams are based on coached schedules first, player conflicts second (when able).

4:00p – 5:30p (usually 5th or 6th grade teams)

5:30p – 7:00p (usually 6th or 7th grade teams)

7:00p – 8:30p (usually 7th or 8th grade teams)

TORI LAROCCA MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT: Saturday, Sept 9th

Time & Location: St. Hilary Gym, 12n - 5pm

(Additional details regarding our Annual Tori LaRocca Memorial Volleyball Tournament for all St. Hilary players will be posted this summer.)

CYO VOLLEYBALL SEASON: Sunday, Sept 10th – Sunday, Oct 29th.

Playoff and Championship Weekend: Saturday, Oct. 28th, and Sunday, Oct 29th

All games are played on Sundays, with one Saturday game scheduled during the season.

Game Times: 11am – 5pm Game time varies. CYO Marin will announce the season schedule on or before Sept. 1st

CYO VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND: Saturday 10/28 (playoffs) & Sunday, 10/29 (championship)

2023 TORI LAROCCA MEMORIAL VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT

DATE:  Saturday, September 9th

LOCATION:  St. Hilary Gym

TIME:  12N-5pm

WHAT TO BRING: Players should wear either their St. Hilary game jerseys, or St. Hilary practice jerseys. Bring water, food and snacks will be provided.

WHAT TO EXPECT: FUN, FRIENDS, FAMILY & LOTS OF VOLLEYBALL! Teams will play a round-robin-style scrimmage with multiple sets for each team. Prizes and gifts will be awarded. A great day of pre-season volleyball for all Tigers to celebrate the life and memory of our St. Hilary alumni Tori LaRocca and her passion for volleyball and love for family and friends. Play like Tori... Love like Tori.

Parents... Want to get more involved?

If you are interested in coaching, please let us know as we are always in need for coaches and assistants! No prior experience necessary and parent coaches will receive a 50% discount on their player’s registration fee. Coach training is provided over the summer during our Summer Clinics, and we also offer a Coaches Clinic prior to practices starting in August. We provide the resources you need, including online training, to learn and teach CYO Volleyball. A fun and rewarding experience for you, your daughter and your team!

Please add your spouse, caretaker, nanny, grandparents, anyone who would like to receive emails from the Volleyball coaches. Anyone added this way will have access to the team rosters and be able to mark availability via the website and/or app, and view the team roster and schedule.
